Every Place is Unique

I considered Tarlac City as my hometown and we are asked by our professor to compare it to other place. Like the similarities of the churches in Tarlac and Baguio or any other places, and its differences. Or it can also be the differences and similarities of the markets of Tarlac and other places. But I want to compare the Events and Festivals, Market, Landmarks and Transportation of Tarlac City and Sta. Rosa City, Laguna.
First, I want to talk about the similarities of the events and festivals held on Tarlac City and Sta. Rosa City, Laguna. I am proud to be a Tarlaqueno because we have the Chicharon and Inuruban Festival and Belenismo. We only have few events or festivals to celebrate and that is better for me than having many festivals. Sta. Rosa City have Sikhayan Festival, Sta. Rosa Cityhood Day, St. Rose of Lima Fiesta and Grand Wizardy Competition. See, Tarlac have fewer festivals to celebrate than Sta. Rosa.
Sta. Rosa’s  Sikhayan Festival  is a symbolic pledge made by the city residents towards a promising future carved through their hard work and discipline, According to Ferdinand F. Castro a writer of Manila Bulletin Publishing Corporation. Sikhayan Festival is a short word for Sikap Kabuhayan, said Cris Almarinez, a blogger. He also said that This Festival was created because of people’s  pagiging masikap that makes the town progressive and a town with peace, loving, trustworthy, and industrious people called Rosenian. Similar to that, Tarlac also has the Chicharon and Inuruban Festival celebrated every last week of October for the preparation for All Saints Day and a thanksgiving of a good harvest like Inuruban and good quality of meat products especially Chicharon or Bagnet. Inuruban is Ilocano’s exotic but unique delicious rice cake.
From those said festivals, Tarlac has the Belenismo wherein the towns of Tarlac City need to make a very unique and beautiful belen. Belenismo is celebrated every 16th of December and the most beautiful and unique Belen will get the price. Belenismo is also created and celebrated for Tarlac to become the Belen Capital of the Philippines it also makes Tarlaquenos showcase their creativity.
I also want to compare the markets between Tarlac City and Santa Rosa City. Proud to say, Tarlac’s Market has cheaper goods than Sta. Rosa’s Market. Tarlac’s market does not have a well sanitized environment but its goods are well sanitized unlike in Sta. Rosa’s Market, It has the sanitized environment. But they also have similarities, I think all of the markets have these, They are divided into two parts, the wet part wherein meats, fishes, and other wet goods are placed. The dry area has the dry goods like vegetables, fruits, and it is also the place where ukay-ukay can be found.
These two places also have their own landmarks. Sta. Rosa has the Enchanted Kingdom and sad to say, Tarlac does not have any theme park. But if Sta. Rosa has SM, Tarlac also has it. But, Tarlac has that Sta. Rosa doesn’t had, this is the floating resort called Isdaan. Tarlac has the Hacienda Luicita, while Sta. Rosa doesn’t have anything that will be like hacienda Luicita. But Tarlac doesn’t have paseo, nuvali, and solenad.
When it comes to transportation, Tarlac has the cheaper fee and of course Sta. Rosa has the expensive fee. Tarlac and Sta. Rosa have tricycles, buses and jeepneys. But Tarlac’s tricycles does not have the special thing in tricycles. So it is easier to go home without worrying that you don’t have anyone with you to pay cheaper.

Tarlac with its best

All of the places here in the Philippines have different beautiful places that is sometimes, not recognized by others because of its unpopularity. One of this is my hometown.
Tarlac is known as the melting pot of the Central Luzon and it is next to Negros occidental as the sugarcane producer. Going in Tarlac is really exhausting and you'll be getting hungry. But when you go here in Tarlac, I'm sure you will get confused on where to eat. Because there are lots of of restaurants that will satisfy you from getting hungry. Restaurants here are: Antigua Restaurant, Cindy's Bakery and Restaurant, Chowking, Jollibee, Mc Donalds, Coco Express, Dencio's, Fat-Fat Restaurants, Fortune Restaurant, Greenwich, Honkee Tea House, Izakaya Cowan, KB gorup of Restaurants, KFC, Max, Nays House, Pancake House, Pizza Hut, Reyes Barbeque, EZ Center, sarangbang Restaurant, Tessie's Grills & Roasters, Urdu Restaurants, Vilmar Restaurant, Voratzki Grill & Restaurant and of course the most popular among them in my hometown, Isdaan the floating Restaurant. See, there's so many restaurants here in Tarlac. All of the foods served here are tasty. When I think of Tarlac, Categories of commercials also comes on my mind. Like the well-known SM City Tarlac, Metro Town mall, Magic Star mall, and Luisita mall. When it comes on the category of information, Tarlac will never missed it because Tarlac have its own Museum. tarlac also have the category of adventure because Eco-Tourism Park is there to let you see the beauty of nature.

Something about my Hometown

When you go to my hometown, Tarlac City, you will not get bored. It is a feeling that you wanted to get away on that place because you feel that there is nothing to do. You will not get bored in my hometown, because there’s so many stuff and there’s so many places that will keep you entertained. Meaning, there’s so many places that will make you happy and satisfied. You will not feel hungry too, wherein your stomach keeps on growling like there’s a monster in your stomach because it is empty. Since, there are many food chains here, so you don’t have to worry if your money is not enough to buy your desired food even if it is expensive, because there are also cheap restaurants that will satisfy your cravings. Cheap Restaurants have affordable, healthy and delicious dishes that are mostly homemade meaning; you’re just eating like you are in your house because of the taste that differs from the tastes of foods in known restaurants. If you feel like you just want your body soaked in water, or your feeling is like you’re being toast in a bog oven because of the hot weather, resorts are there to accommodate you with an affordable entrance fees. This is why you don’t have to bring a large amount of money just to go swimming.

Tarlac City, A cradle of our country’s leaders and a dictionary for all

My hometown is Tarlac City and I am proud to say it to the whole world because of its beautiful and natural sceneries and its historical places. The aim of this writing activity is to write a descriptive essay about our hometown.
First I want to tell you that Tarlac City is like a history book. There are many histories written in it and like other history books, some of its articles are not true and those articles are called unhistorical data. But I will only tell you the true history of Tarlac City. Tarlac City is like a nursery room inside the hospital. It nurtures the babies and later on, they grow and take care of themselves. Tarlac City also became a school for people that as the time goes and flies away, these students will lead their own City, and later on, they will lead the whole country. To summarize this, Tarlac City became the cradle of our former leaders and present. Who are these leaders I am talking about? Of course one of these is the Aquino family. Our hero, Benigno Ninoy Aquino rooted from his father Gen Servillano Aquino. Our present President Noy-noy Aquino Jr. and his famous sister Kris Aquino. Not to forget our former leader President Corazon Aquino, who’s root were the famous Cojuanco clan like former congressman Jose Peping Cojuanco, one of the Tarlaquenos that lead our country. To add more, our present Chief Director General (4th highest position) of the Philippine National Police is also an heir of our hometown.
Tarlac cannot just be compared to a nursery room but also to a dictionary, where you can learn so much of its content. Because Tarlac has many different sceneries and famous historical places to be compared to any other places, lots of different delicacies, the authentic dishes served from each town, beautiful faces, and generous people who in one way or another give their very best in whatever life will take them.

Listening Challenges

Every one of us, have our own weaknesses when it comes to listening and hearing what the speaker’s telling us. But we, people don’t only have weaknesses, we also have strengths in hearing and listening people’s messages. But what is the difference between listening and hearing? Well, the only difference is that when you hear something, you don’t want to understand what the speaker’s telling you or simply you are not interested on what you are talking about. Well, of course listening have a big difference in hearing, because when you listen to somebody, it simply means that you are interested in what you both are talking about. Well, maybe you are wondering why am I talking this things to you, it’s because it’s our assignment in our EnglOne class and we are about to write what are our weaknesses and strengths when it comes to listening.
Honestly, I am not good in Evaluating and responding to the speaker, because I feel shy when I am about to tell him/her what I really want to say about the topic specially if my comment is not good. So that means that I can easily understand what the speaker is talking about but I cannot show him/her that I understand him/her because I cannot comment on what he/she was talking about because I feel shy. But sometimes when the environment is noisy like when my co students are noisy, I’m easily distracted,  and it affects my concentration to understand and remember what the lesson is all about. So that means that I have problems in all of the stages of listening process because I can be easily distracted by a noisy environment.
Listening is not just listening or hearing to the speaker, because you should also understand, respond, remember and evaluate what the topic is, to show that you really listen to the speaker. So I should solve my problems in listening to be a good communicator. I should improve my confidence so that I can respond to the speaker and I won’t feel shy anymore. I should also focus more on the speaker especially if the environment is noisy and destructive.

In my Existence

Hello co-bloggers, readers and friends!!! Here is my second blog!!! And this is an assignment given to us by our Professor in my Englone (English one) subject in DLSCanlubang…
All of us have our own origin, how our names created, why are we created. Of course all of us are created because we all have our own missions in life. Yes, you too reading my blog, have the same mission as I do. Do you know your mission in life? If you don’t know yet, well, that’s still a part of your mission.
Hmm… Well, let’s start in the creation of my name, according to my mom, My name is created from the names of my grandparents and parents. My name is Aenon Mari Viel Tulabot Cunanan. AE , came from the first letter from the name of my late grandfather (from my father), Amado, letter E  was added, from the sound of the letter A (sounds like ae) . NON in Aenon came from my father’s name, Vernon. And my name MAR from the name of my mother, Maria Vivian and I from the name of my grandfather’s name, Isidro. From the name Victoria (my mom’s mother) and Melodia my father’s mom, the name VIEL was the outcome. And of course Tulabot is the surname of my mother and Cunanan is my father’s.

Now you already learn some names of my family and the root of my name, I want you to know that 16 years ago, I was born in this world. In my 16 years of existence in this beautiful world, I still don’t know what are my missions…still searching my life’s best. In 15 years of studying, I already have seven conduct awards, one best in religion and spelling award and one most generous award, and also a most outstanding I.T. student award. During my Preparatory and in my 3rd year in high school, I became a third placer in the school’s Popularity Contest. According to my friends, I am simple, kindhearted and generous man. Well, that is their impression of me.

I’m the kind of man that is sometimes, loves just to eat and sometimes not. These are the foods that I like to eat most: sisig, kampukan, these are meats from goat. Another food that I love to eat are kare-kare, grilled liempo, beef steak, nilagang baka…these are from the meats of cow and pig. I also love the meat of chicken, and other dishes with chicken. Never ask me if I want to eat noodles!!! Just give me noodles… J I think all kinds of noodles whether it is a dry noodles or a wet noodles; For sure ill eat it... When I’m feeling like my stomach is always empty, you will find me eating biscuits, noodles, peanuts, and sometimes, junk foods… Those are the foods that I eat most, I will no longer tell you what are the foods that I do not eat because I am not a choosy person, and I hate exotic foods, like snakes, dogs, cats, bats or rats. The only exotic food I’ve tried is the meat of frogs, and it’s quite tasteful!

Teenagers now are really addicted to computer games, but not me…I would rather waste my time exploring, discovering and enhancing my skills in digital arts. As of now, I can edit pictures, animate objects, create video clips and also have a few knowledge creating and editing audio clips...Aside from that, I also want to enhance my eyesight. Because sad to say, I’m a colorblind person. I’m also interested in developing my creativity. I have lots of ideas but I’m not that good expressing it the unique way. You’ll find me playing computer games once in awhile, for a few hours but after that, my digital tools wont escape … I also love surfing the net, and sometimes, I tweet and post what’s on my mind. I never read books. Not like other teenagers .But sometimes, I get interested on it when the books are in line with the topics of the universe, missions of NASA, and names of space shuttles. I really wanted to become an astronaut but that is so impossible because if you will take a course related to this is so expensive.

Being an astronaut was marked X on the list of my future job. Another ambition I have is becoming a pilot, but when we consulted our family‘s friend, who is a retired pilot, he told us that becoming a pilot is not an advisable job in the future. Because our world now is computerized. Not for long everything will be computerized already…same with the airplanes. So pilots are just behind it, the one who controls the computer for the flying plane. And no longer to be called pilots, but controllers… And so being a pilot has been deleted from the list of my ambitions. Luckily, what I have decided to take is related to what our friends’ suggestions. Computers will fly the airplanes, and so I told my parents maybe Its not impossible to create a robot someday and so they told me to search the internet what really fits my interests, and I found out that Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering would be the best that will fit my interests… except for one, a math subject in it. But then, it is a big challenge for me and I have to pursue and seriously learn about that subject…
Hmm… this is all for now, I still have lots of stories instore. But our professor gave us up to 999 words only... So, that’s all, I hope you’ve already learned about me... Thank you for spending your time reading my blog!!!!! J

Who am I online for now?

Hello everyone, I'm Aenon Mari Viel T. Cunanan, and just call me Aenon.
This blog is an assignment given to us by our professor in EnglishOne class in DLSCanlubang. It is my very first time to create a blog so sorry if my work is not that good. This blog is all about finding or searching my image in the internet using the google search engine and so I named this blog as “Who am I online for now?”.

The first thing that I  searched is “Aenon Cunanan” wherein you can see my accounts in different sites that I joined like the website that I only joined last few days, Blogger, because we need it in our English one subject in DLSCanlubang. The second one is the Pipl Profiles which I cannot access and Ican’t remember that I joined this site I don’t even know what this site all about. You can also see that I have a tweeter and facebook account. The last one is my cousin’s tweeter account ,a graduate from DLSCanlubang. And I don’t know why his tweeter account appeared while I’m only searching for my name.

I also searched my name as “Aenon Tulabot Cunanan” where the results are the websites that I accessed a long time ago. First result is the Wix.com where you can create your own website for free. I tried to use it because during that time, I loved creating a websites using css and html, until now, I love to create those things but because of different requirements given to us by our professors, I cannot do it anymore, I don’t even know if I still know how to create a website. The second result is my cousin’s tweeter account again and now I think his name appeared because of his last name is Tulabot and that is my middle name. Third result is my tweeter account again, and the fourth and fifth result is one of the groups that I’ve joined in my facebook account and that group acts as our section during my fourth year in high school as our opinion center wherein we can share our thoughts for what we feel with some of our classmates. The last result is the list of qualified examinees in Tarlac State University, one of the popular universities in our City.

The third name that I searched is “Aenon Mari Viel T. Cunanan”, and that is my complete name. In this result there’s already other people not related to me that appeared because some of our names are the same. But the third and fourth results are my questions in yahoo answers when I gave up doing my code in computer programming. The fifth result is the list of qualified examinees that I’ve mentioned earlier.

The last name that I’ve searched, is “Aenon”. And I was surprised when I saw different health care center, religious sites, farms, and even auto recycling. But most of the result is related to the bible, and that’s also a trivia for me that my name is also biblical. And as you can see on the lower right of the picture, there’s a lot of numbers and there’s a next button and that means that there are other results that can be seen, and when I clicked the next button, the result are the same and the only difference is their topics. A word comes to my mind when I saw “Aenon, school of Theology”, “Aenon Health Care”. “Wow, I already have a health care center and a school of theology”. I also thought my name is unique. But it’s ok because my name came from the bible.
As I make a research about my personal identity online, I realized that this will greatly affect my image, it can be advantage and disadvantage., especially when I am already applying for a job. Even now, it can already affect my image as a student because who knows if somebody stalks you online? And who knows if one day, a friend of you becomes your enemy and it will be one way that he can make you down. So for now, I will be more careful in posting online and joining in different groups.
